TRIBAL FUSION FUNDAMENTALS – Vanessa

Learn the fundamentals of belly dance movement, music and technique with this engaging 5-week series. You will be given the building blocks of this beautiful dance form and work through isolations of the chest, torso and hips, as well as shimmies, elegant foot and arm patterns, essential music theory for dancers, and fun dance combinations.
For: absolute beginners, two left feet, love music.
Cost: $75.00 for full series, no drop-in please.

TECHNIQUE LEVEL 2/LEVEL 3 – Vanessa
Tuesdays @ 7:30-9:00pm starting Oct 28 (6 week session)
No class Tue Nov 18
Each week we’ll start with a short conditioning component, break down some isolations and movements, add layers and variations, then drill them with finger cymbals, ending with a stretchy cool down.
If you’re interested we can throw in some new ATS vocabulary, as I’ll just be getting back from General Skills and Teacher Training with Carolena Nericcio! (This will not be an ATS-based class though).
For: those who’ve completed Technique L1, or who have previous L2/L3 experience.

WORKSHOP: TOP SPEED TURNS – Karen
Tue, Dec 9 @ 6:30-7:30pm
Learn breakdowns for a variety of turns and spins, examining foot placement, arm placement, balance, and spotting. You’ll work on both belly dance turns and western variations. Karen, with her background in ballet and jazz, will then lead you through tips and tricks for increasing speed and accuracy in your turns, ending the class in a short combinations utilizing your new whirrls!
For: those with some belly dance experience
