“Sailing the Solar Flares” by Dirtwire.

Originally performed at Dance on the Edge IX (2017), this piece was remounted for “Dance on the Edge: Celebrating 20 Years with the Neighbourhood Strays” at the Majestic Theatre, St. John’s NL on 23 May 2024.

Choreographed by Seraka Dance Company and set to Niklas Paschburg’s album of the same name, OCEANIC uses contemporary belly dance to explore our connection to the turbulent waters that carve the intricate coastlines of Newfoundland and Labrador. OCEANIC hosted by Seraka Dance Company at the LSPU Hall, St. John’s NL on 13 May 2023.

Originally part of UNKNOWN (2017), this piece was remounted for CELESTIAL BODIES hosted by Here Kitty Kitty Productions at Velvet Nightclub, St. John’s NL on 10 July 2021.

Patterns is a two-part dance work which explores the longing for connection between the dancers. The music for the project is “Patterns” and “Patterns (Cyrus Reynolds Remix)” by Steve Gibbs, the original and remixed tracks were chosen to highlight different facets of the desire for reunion.

This project was funded by ArtsNL under the “Art in the time of COVID” Fund.
